Requirements
- Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Economics, Statistics, Clinical Informatics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- 2+ years of professional experience in data environments.
- Proficiency in writing code in SQL, SAS, and Python for dataset creation and analysis.
- Experience with experimental and quasi-experimental methods (randomized controlled trials, propensity matching, difference-in-difference models).
- Ability to apply research methods to transform complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong interest in healthcare and improving clinical outcomes.
- Strong collaboration skills for working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Clear communication skills for presenting results to business partners.
- Self-provided internet with minimum 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
- Ability to work from a dedicated space to protect member PHI/HIPAA information.
Responsibilities
- Perform exploratory analysis on population trends and clinical conditions.
- Collaborate with clinicians to define clinical concepts and extract information from medical, pharmacy, and lab claims.
- Apply analytic methods ranging from descriptive analysis to advanced epidemiological modeling.
- Design outcomes studies using randomized controlled trials, propensity matching, or difference-in-difference models.
- Conduct literature reviews and intervention research to assess treatment effect sizes.
- Write code in SQL, SAS, and Python to assemble data, create features, and build statistical models.
- Translate analytic results into actionable insights for business partners.
