Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in data or software engineering.
- 4+ years of experience managing engineers.
- Experience building and leading a multidisciplinary data organization of 5+ people.
- Advanced SQL and Python programming skills.
- Strong Master Data Management (MDM) fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with Snowflake or equivalent data warehousing.
- Proven experience with dbt.
- Experience with an orchestration tool such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
- Direct experience setting AI and LLM enablement strategy and building with LLM tooling.
- Ability to operate at Director scope, including owning budgets and advocating for roadmaps.
- Ability to translate technical trade-offs for non-technical stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and debug high-impact data pipelines between business systems like CRM, billing, and internal platforms and the Snowflake warehouse.
- Own the multi-year data strategy and architecture while maintaining hands-on involvement in systems and edge cases.
- Establish technical standards for data modeling, pipeline design, and data quality.
- Build, structure, and lead a growing team of 5+ across Data Engineering, ML Engineering, and Analytics.
- Manage headcount planning, hiring strategy, and department budget.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to translate business strategy into technical data contracts and platform investments.
- Champion AI and automation, ensuring LLM use cases are supported by a reliable, trusted data foundation.
