Requirements
- 8+ years of technical experience in a hybrid IC/management role.
- Track record of leading a data organization of 15–25 people.
- Experience leading mixed teams including Data Scientists, ML Engineers, and Analytics Engineers.
- Expertise in data quality at scale, including observability, lineage, and semantic consistency.
- Proficiency with modern lakehouse and analytics engineering practices like Databricks and dbt.
- Experience with production machine learning in real-time contexts, including model monitoring and retraining.
- Proven experience with AWS at scale.
- Direct experience leading FinCrime, Fraud, or Identity engineering or data science teams.
- Strong AI literacy and practical experience using AI tools for productivity and process improvement.
- Proven ability to influence teams outside of direct reporting lines.
- Exceptional judgment in making trade-offs during rapid scaling.
Responsibilities
- Define, generate, monitor, and govern data across Identity and Financial Crime domains.
- Implement data quality engineering disciplines, including contracts, lineage, and integrity monitoring.
- Manage models and analytics for fraud detection, covering feature engineering, deployment, and retraining.
- Lead a mixed team of 25+ Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, and Analytics Engineers.
- Partner with engineering and product leaders to integrate model outcomes with platform infrastructure.
- Set data standards and influence upstream Identity engineering teams to improve data quality.
- Hire, retain, and develop world-class technical talent.
- Lead incident response for fraud events, model failures, or data integrity issues.
