Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong depth in Python (Python 3.11).
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL, including indexing, performance, and schema design.
- Hands-on experience with SQLAlchemy and Alembic for ORM and migrations.
- Proven ability to design service-oriented components and APIs.
- Solid engineering hygiene, including automated testing, code reviews, and debugging.
- Experience in Agile delivery (SAFe) and using tools like Jira, Confluence, and GitLab.
- Experience working in Windows Server/RDS environments using VS Code or PyCharm.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve Python services and data-driven components for GIS applications.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines and processing workflows for network and spatial data.
- Model, query, and migrate application data using PostgreSQL and efficient SQL.
- Implement geospatial capabilities and maintain integration with GIS tooling like QGIS and GeoServer.
- Improve system performance, scalability, and observability through logging and metrics.
- Contribute to DevOps activities, including GitLab CI and scripting.
- Collaborate in a SAFe setup, participating in refinement, planning, and technical alignment.
