Requirements
- University degree in Translation, Applied Languages, Linguistics, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in translation, review, or localization.
- Native fluency in Nepali-Nepal.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken).
- Solid understanding of localization processes and review workflows.
- Proficiency in standard software (Windows, MS Office).
- Hands-on experience with CAT tools (e.g., XTM, SDL Studio, Polyglot, Mate Cat, ATMS, fbCAT).
- Experience with query/issue management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new localization tools.
- Strong attention to detail and editing skills.
- Excellent knowledge of terminology management.
Responsibilities
- Perform translation, review, and quality assurance of Nepali-Nepal content.
- Perform copy-editing and linguistic checks for accuracy, consistency, and style.
- Provide constructive feedback to translators to improve quality.
- Maintain and manage language assets like glossaries and style guides.
- Manage and respond to linguistic queries from project teams.
- Support onboarding, development, and training of new linguists.
- Participate in the development of new review and quality processes.
- Meet or exceed quality and productivity KPIs.
- Achieve performance goals set by the Language Lead.
