Requirements
- Current RN Licensure in the State of Georgia.
- Associates Degree.
- Minimum five years of professional nursing experience.
- Aptitude in critical care or medical-surgical nursing.
- Excellent observation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Proficiency with computer systems.
- Self-directed work style.
- Ability to maintain requirements of Remote Agreement.
Responsibilities
- Perform admission and continued stay reviews using CDMP guidelines.
- Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation to ensure appropriate severity and reimbursement.
- Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure points of clarification are recorded.
- Work concurrently with Physicians to educate and receive specific documentation.
- Write professional clinical queries for missing documentation.
- Monitor documentation against core measure quality indicators.
- Collaborate with coding staff to assign working DRG.
- Process discharges by updating DRG worksheets.
- Educate clinical teams on documentation, coding, and reimbursement.
- Ensure documentation meets medical necessity requirements.
