Five (5) years in the practice of professional nursing.

Requirements

  • Current RN Licensure in the State of Georgia.
  • Associates Degree.
  • Minimum five years of professional nursing experience.
  • Aptitude in critical care or medical-surgical nursing.
  • Excellent observation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with computer systems.
  • Self-directed work style.
  • Ability to maintain requirements of Remote Agreement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform admission and continued stay reviews using CDMP guidelines.
  • Facilitate modifications to clinical documentation to ensure appropriate severity and reimbursement.
  • Conduct follow-up reviews to ensure points of clarification are recorded.
  • Work concurrently with Physicians to educate and receive specific documentation.
  • Write professional clinical queries for missing documentation.
  • Monitor documentation against core measure quality indicators.
  • Collaborate with coding staff to assign working DRG.
  • Process discharges by updating DRG worksheets.
  • Educate clinical teams on documentation, coding, and reimbursement.
  • Ensure documentation meets medical necessity requirements.
