Requirements
- Board-certified psychiatrist (MD or DO).
- Eligibility for or participation in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) OR active license in CA, NY, TX, WA, GA, NC, DC, MD, or VA.
- Proven experience supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs, etc.).
- Familiarity with state-specific collaborative practice agreements and supervision regulations.
- Active, unrestricted federal DEA registration.
- Willingness to obtain separate DEA registrations in required states for multi-state practice.
- Preferred: Additional state licensure.
- Preferred: Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and virtual care.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor 10-12 APPs (licensed PMHNPs), ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
- Review documentation and treatment plans for ~1hr/week to ensure quality and adherence to compliance standards.
- Guide APPs on compliant, clinically appropriate billing practices.
- Support APPs in managing clinical crises.
- Provide second opinion consultations and treatment for higher complexity cases.
- Prescribe medications responsibly and in alignment with measurement-based care.
- Conduct follow-up assessments and offer psychotherapy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve clinical workflows and care models.
