Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, marketing, stakeholder engagement, or related fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Education, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated success leading integrated communications programs and community engagement initiatives at a senior level.
- Strong experience developing partnerships with educational institutions, civic organizations, and workforce development programs.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Proven experience managing media relations, proactive outreach campaigns, and press communications.
- Strong understanding of social media strategy, audience engagement, and analytics-driven content optimization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25–30% as needed.
Responsibilities
- Lead and expand education and community partnership programs with colleges, universities, workforce development organizations, and local stakeholders.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with educators, civic leaders, community groups, and public officials.
- Represent the organization at industry events, educational forums, and community engagements.
- Develop and execute strategic communications initiatives including media outreach, press releases, executive messaging, and thought leadership content.
- Manage proactive and reactive media relations.
- Oversee social media strategy and execution.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, public affairs, HR, development, and legal teams.
- Produce compelling written content such as blogs, articles, and award submissions.
- Monitor communications performance and industry trends.
- Support workforce development initiatives by connecting education partnerships to hiring pipelines.
