Requirements

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in communications, public relations, marketing, stakeholder engagement, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, Education, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated success leading integrated communications programs and community engagement initiatives at a senior level.
  • Strong experience developing partnerships with educational institutions, civic organizations, and workforce development programs.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven experience managing media relations, proactive outreach campaigns, and press communications.
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, audience engagement, and analytics-driven content optimization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25–30% as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and expand education and community partnership programs with colleges, universities, workforce development organizations, and local stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with educators, civic leaders, community groups, and public officials.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, educational forums, and community engagements.
  • Develop and execute strategic communications initiatives including media outreach, press releases, executive messaging, and thought leadership content.
  • Manage proactive and reactive media relations.
  • Oversee social media strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, public affairs, HR, development, and legal teams.
  • Produce compelling written content such as blogs, articles, and award submissions.
  • Monitor communications performance and industry trends.
  • Support workforce development initiatives by connecting education partnerships to hiring pipelines.
