Requirements
- Experience building and shipping production-grade software systems, either backend or full-stack.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and system reliability principles.
- Proven ability to own projects end-to-end in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Comfort working across multiple domains including engineering, product, data, and user experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a pragmatic, outcome-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience using modern development workflows and AI tools to improve engineering productivity.
- Ability to design and reason about complex systems involving data, scalability, and performance tradeoffs.
Responsibilities
- Own and deliver end-to-end product features, from problem definition and system design through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.
- Design and build scalable backend systems, APIs, and data pipelines supporting AI-driven and multimodal product workflows.
- Contribute across the stack when needed, including backend, frontend, infrastructure, and experimentation systems.
- Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, and product teams to turn ambiguous ideas into production-ready systems.
- Develop and maintain reliable, high-performance systems that support model-driven and AI-native applications.
- Define technical scope, milestones, and execution plans for complex product initiatives.
- Use AI tools to accelerate development workflows while ensuring correctness through testing, validation, and observability.
- Build and optimize systems that leverage AI capabilities such as agents, retrieval, and multimodal reasoning.
- Continuously iterate on product features based on performance data, user feedback, and system insights.
- Maintain a high standard of reliability, simplicity, and scalability across all engineered solutions.
