Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of General Liability claims handling experience.
- Commercial and multi-line insurance knowledge.
- Ability to critically review claim files and make recommendations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, time management, and detail skills.
- Extensive knowledge of insurance processes.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong computer and office skills.
- Ability to work extended hours when necessary.
Responsibilities
- Independently evaluate information on coverage, liability, and damages.
- Manage countrywide litigation, legal budgets, and lawsuits through resolution.
- Determine reporting for new loss claims.
- Submit necessary information to agents or insurers for claim processing.
- Analyze claim coverage with carriers to ensure accurate payments.
- Assess eligibility status of denied claims.
- Maintain relationships with insureds, brokers, and underwriters.
- Manage claims and suspense systems for follow-ups.
- Process departmental claims according to policy.
- Travel to mediations and trials as needed.
