Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading insurance service operations.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Current and active 2-20 or 4-40 insurance license (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience supporting multiple lines or carriers.
  • Strong knowledge of carrier underwriting guidelines, tools, and models.
  • Proven experience in P&L management and operational leadership.
  • CPCU, AU, CIC or CPIA designations preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directs and profitably manages underwriting and call center operations.
  • Develops and maintains positive, professional and constructive relationships with carrier partners.
  • Leads underwriting and servicing team members in executing business strategy.
  • Coaches direct reports through regular feedback and performance evaluations.
  • Resolves escalated problems for underwriting and service operations.
  • Works with senior leadership to establish unit goals and budgets.
  • Maintains ownership of operational P&L performance.
  • Ensures accurate risk selection and adherence to carrier underwriting guidelines.
  • Develops and enforces underwriting quality control procedures.
