Requirements
- 5+ years of experience developing and maintaining production-level applications
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as TypeScript, Ruby, or Python
- Strong experience working with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query optimization
- Experience operating and scaling services in production environments
- Ability to debug complex issues and improve system reliability through monitoring and operational awareness
- Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical decisions and tradeoffs
- Passion for mentoring and supporting fellow engineers
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain production-grade applications across a modern stack including TypeScript, React, GraphQL, Node, and PostgreSQL
- Design and optimize data models and queries to support complex compensation logic and high-volume usage
- Lead execution of cross-functional projects in collaboration with product and design teams
- Contribute to system architecture decisions and improve engineering best practices
- Mentor junior engineers and support their technical growth and onboarding
- Investigate production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions to improve system stability
