Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of FAA eligibility determination experience.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field appropriate to the assignment.
  • Knowledge of public assistance eligibility determination processes.
  • Knowledge of Federal and State laws, statutes, and regulations.
  • Skills in independent problem solving, analysis, and decision-making.
  • Customer service, interviewing, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in critical thinking, research, and data analysis.
  • Ability to manage conflict and resolve complex issues.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in verbal and written formats.
  • Successfully pass background and reference check.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality case reviews of eligibility determinations for NA, MA, and TANF.
  • Act as a liaison between FAA, AHCCCS, and the Ombudsman's office.
  • Partner with AZDOC to complete MA eligibility for released inmates.
  • Handle foster children re-entry and SSI-related MA eligibility determinations.
  • Provide conflict de-escalation for irate clients.
  • Develop and implement local office procedures to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Plan workflow and control daily working arrangements for assignments.
  • Consult with personnel regarding program objectives and service delivery.
