Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in large scale program delivery.
  • Prior humanitarian or emergency response experience.
  • Strong technical skills and product sense, including data analysis.
  • Proven experience in fundraising and relationship management.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, grants, and partnerships.
  • Ability to manage complex risks and operate in ambiguity.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with state agencies and funders.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Deep alignment with organizational core competencies and values.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end design, planning, and execution of U.S. disaster response programs.
  • Identify and operationalize new geographic and damage targeting tools.
  • Scope, negotiate, and execute partnership agreements with 3rd-party platforms and governments.
  • Manage a team of direct reports and support them in managing field staff.
  • Identify and pursue fundraising opportunities and maintain relationships with donors.
  • Conduct operational diligence, feasibility, and risk assessments for disaster responses.
  • Assess project resource needs and develop budgets and staffing proposals.
  • Represent the organization at external forums, media engagements, and conferences.
