- Experience
- Minimum of seven (7) years
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in performance or financial audits.
- Current CFE or CPA credential (mandatory).
- Experience leading multi-member audit teams.
- Experience reviewing the work of junior auditors.
- Working knowledge of GAAP and Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book).
- Strong written communication skills for CMS-level reporting.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, healthcare administration, or related.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CMS security and privacy clearances.
Responsibilities
- Ensure audits are performed in a consistent, impartial, and objective manner.
- Supervise project audit teams, including assignment of work and mentoring.
- Manage and execute completion of tasks within established timelines.
- Provide quality control over audit workpapers, evidence, and findings.
- Review project team's audit documentation and draft audit reports.
- Provide technical assistance to CMS on methodology and sampling design.
- Interact with the client on audit strategy and annual audit reports.
- Assess entity compliance with No Surprises Act requirements.
- Identify trends and red flags; support financial impact calculations.
- Safeguard sensitive healthcare information.
