Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- Minimum 9+ years of experience in hardware development lifecycle, preferably in complex embedded or avionics systems.
- Strong expertise in digital electronics design, schematic capture, and PCB/CCA development.
- Hands-on experience with high-speed interfaces including Ethernet, USB, LVDS, SERDES, I2C, and DDR1/2/3 memory systems.
- Solid understanding of signal integrity, timing analysis, and hardware validation techniques.
- Experience in environmental and regulatory testing standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware using lab instruments and engineering test setups.
- Strong knowledge of DFM, DFT, and cost-optimized design methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to manage complex technical challenges independently while collaborating in cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in high-stakes, safety-critical engineering environments.
- Embedded systems experience is considered a strong advantage.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end hardware development lifecycle activities, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, validation, and product support.
- Design digital electronic circuits and perform schematic capture and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) development for complex systems.
- Work extensively with high-speed interfaces and bus technologies such as Ethernet, I2C, USB, LVDS, SERDES, and DDR memory interfaces.
- Conduct signal integrity, timing analysis, and system-level testing to ensure performance and reliability under defined standards.
- Execute and support environmental and compliance testing aligned with standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461.
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting using advanced engineering lab equipment to resolve hardware issues efficiently.
- Apply Design for Cost (DTC), Design for Manufacturing (DFM), and Design for Test (DFT) principles to optimize product lifecycle performance.
- Ensure traceability of requirements, testability, and compliance across all stages of hardware development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including systems, manufacturing, and validation engineering to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and explore embedded system integration opportunities where applicable.
