Requirements
- J.D. (or equivalent)
- Admission to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years of experience drafting and negotiating B2B commercial contracts
- Experience in market research (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of IP principles
- Strong knowledge of content usage principles
- Strong knowledge of data licensing principles
- Demonstrated understanding of data flows
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent stakeholder management skills
- Ability to present risk trade‑offs clearly
- Familiarity with key commercial contract terms
- Familiarity with compliance principles
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements—including licensing, partnership, vendor, and client contracts—across all business segments, ensuring terms support business goals and mitigate risk.
- Lead negotiations on complex licensing arrangements and other commercial transactions, balancing business needs with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Identify and address legal, privacy, security, and compliance considerations throughout the contract lifecycle; collaborate with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
- Provide day-to-day legal support to business stakeholders on commercial contracting matters.
- Partner with sales, procurement, product, privacy, and security teams to identify and address legal and compliance considerations in commercial transactions.
- Serve as a key legal advisor supporting all company verticals, other than media, including financial services, government, and all other retail measurement licensing data.
- Focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial contracts, with a particular emphasis on licensing and complex agreements.
- Deliver strategic and timely legal guidance to facilitate business objectives while ensuring the company’s interests and compliance requirements are robustly protected.
