Requirements
- 5+ years in software and ML / AI engineering, with at least part of that time in a role with responsibility for others (formal or informal).
- Production experience, not just research – systems that actually run in clients' environments.
- Problem-solving mindset, not just task execution.
- AI power-user mindset. You actively use LLMs, agents, and frontier tooling to automate your own work.
- Genuine interest in healthcare.
- Full-stack engineering mindset – Python/AI is the core, but you're fine working with infra, data pipelines, cloud, and surrounding systems when the project demands.
- Ability to scope, estimate, and deliver projects end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- architect data/AI solutions for healthcare clients (data platforms, ML/AI systems, agents, and more)
- lead a team of 2-5 engineers working on particular projects – without becoming a manager who stopped coding
- own technical quality – code review, standards, best practices across the team
- pre-sales technical work – discovery sessions with clients, scoping, technical proposals
- mentor more junior engineers and help them grow
- build internal IP and reusable components for healthcare AI
- contribute to the technical and strategic direction of the company
