- Minimum of 7 years of industry experience in BI. Minimum 5 years of experience with the Power BI platform, in senior roles. Minimum 2 years of experience leading teams. 2 years’ experience leading the modernization of legacy reporting solution for a medium to large sized organization Data analysis process, approach and design. 5 years’ experience with SQL Language (ANSI-92). 5 years previous experience with Microsoft Power BI concepts, product architecture and vendor roadmap. 3 years’ experience with supporting a Microsoft Power BI SaaS implementation, including Microsoft data gateways for data refreshes. 1 year experience with Azure and Fabric data platform. 3 years’ experience with leading development teams for the deployment of Microsoft Power BI reports in a secure corporate environment. 3 years’ experience with administration of medium scale Microsoft Power BI environment, including the workspace, security and Power BI deployment pipelines. 3 years’ experience with data warehouse concepts and design, including both on-premise and Cloud based solutions. 3 years’ experience with Physical data modelling concepts, including operational system 3NF and Kimball dimensional modelling. 3 years previous experience with ETL jobs and processes, ETL design concepts and data processing pipelines. 1 year Oracle database experience. 3 years previous experience participating in Data Governance initiatives.

Requirements

- Ability to translate complex business requirements into functional requirements.
- 5 years’ experience with SQL Language (ANSI-92).
- 5 years previous experience with Microsoft Power BI concepts, product architecture and vendor roadmap.
- Strong Power BI DAX language skills (Power Query (M) skills considered an asset).
- 3 years’ experience with supporting a Microsoft Power BI SaaS implementation, including Microsoft data gateways.
- 1 year experience with Azure and Fabric data platform (Fabric Admin experience considered an asset).
- 3 years’ experience with leading development teams for the deployment of Microsoft Power BI reports in a secure corporate environment.
- 3 years’ experience with administration of medium scale Microsoft Power BI environment.
- 3 years’ experience with data warehouse concepts and design (on-premise and Cloud based solutions).
- 3 years’ experience with Physical data modelling concepts (3NF and Kimball dimensional modelling).

Responsibilities
- Lead a development team for execution of the reporting strategy.
- Provide summary analysis and recommendations for leadership.
- Monitor and manage delivery to align with business goals and architectural standards.
- Drive the solution forward based on leadership direction, technical constraints and developer input.
- Coach and mentor the analytics & reporting team.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into reporting products.
- Lead a Business Intelligence (BI) team, including data analysts, quality assurance analysts and BI developers.
- Design, deliver and maintain high-quality Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Perform operational troubleshooting to resolve disruptions to reporting service.
- Develop development standards and best practices and perform quality assurance checks.
- Lead Power BI governance, through use of workspaces, appropriate security models and a managed self-service report authoring approach.
- Work with the privacy and security teams to ensure that reporting solutions adhere to privacy and security policies.
- Provide architectural leadership for the modernization of a large and complex Oracle reporting environment.
- Act as Scrum Master for the Information Management & Reporting team.
- Lead the technical implementation of the Power BI Service (SaaS) in a secure technical ecosystem and act as Fabric Administrator.
