Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building scalable, high-quality software applications
- Strong hands-on experience with Python in production environments
- Deep understanding of backend architecture and RESTful API design
- Strong experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL
- Hands-on experience with AWS
- Proven ability to design, build, and ship end-to-end features independently
- Direct experience designing, implementing, and optimizing solutions using Elasticsearch
- Experience with a shared component design paradigm utilizing controller-based patterns
- Proven track record of implementing applications effectively using established style guides and detailed wireframes
- Comfortable working in Agile environments
- Proficient in Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodologies
- Highly team-oriented and collaborative
- Proven capacity to mentor junior team members
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Excellent written and verbal English skills
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of product development across backend systems.
- Work across the full development lifecycle from architecture and implementation through to deployment.
- Partner closely with Product and Engineering.
- Lead the development efforts, taking ownership of the entire product lifecycle from ideation to implementation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to deliver high-quality products.
- Apply expertise in technologies to drive the adoption of new architectures and design patterns for our products.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Actively contribute to the evolution of our technical stack.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure backend systems effectively support product requirements.
