Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in a DevOps / Platform or Systems Engineer role
- Comfortable with web servers (Nginx)
- Comfortable with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, including replication and performance tuning)
- Comfortable with Linux (Amazon Linux/CentOS/RedHat)
- Knowledge and experience with Docker containerization
- Experience with container orchestration and management (e.g., Kubernetes or AWS ECS)
- Worked with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Cloudfront or OpenSearch)
- Worked with Terraform for infrastructure as code
- Knowledge of CI / CD pipelines and implemented automated build and deployment processes
- Knowledge of Puppet configuration management (Bonus)
- Strong understanding of monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Datadog or Grafana)
- Experience applying SRE principles such as SLOs, and error budgets
- Worked with incident management processes, including conducting postmortems and driving improvements
- Solid understanding of security practices in cloud and DevOps environments (IAM, data protection, secrets management, compliance)
- Fluent English speaker
Responsibilities
- Help develop and maintain a robust monitoring and observability framework to ensure system performance, reliability, and early issue detection.
- Leverage experience in DevOps to design, maintain, and improve cloud infrastructure.
- Own and evolve incident management processes, including on-call, postmortems, SLOs, and error budgets.
- Manage and optimize web servers, relational databases, and Linux-based systems.
- Utilize expertise in Docker for containerization and manage orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or AWS ECS.
- Work with AWS services to build and maintain scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.
- Collaborate closely with other Engineering teams, QA and Security teams to streamline workflows, troubleshoot issues, and enhance system deployment processes.
- Implement and maintain security best practices across infrastructure and deployments, including access management, vulnerability scanning, and incident response.
- Contribute to ensuring compliance with security standards and help foster a strong DevSecOps culture within the engineering team.
