Staff Software Developer - JaneX

Depth and diversity of experience, already operating at the Staff level. Extensive experience and ownership in design and architecture, making impactful architectural decisions across more than one team. A University Degree in Computer or a related STEM field plus approximately 10+ years of experience, or equivalent experience. Proven experience leading technical efforts across multiple teams, driving decisions, and establishing best practices. Desire to remain actively involved in coding while leading teams. Actively involved in creating technical roadmaps that align engineering efforts with strategic business goals. Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Experience with Ruby on Rails, or other OOP languages (Java, C#, Python, etc.).

Lead the technical vision and roadmap for Jane’s AI platform. Drive AI Scribe from an early-stage product to a high-quality, high-retention core feature. Partner with product and development teams to enable scalable, secure, and reliable AI-powered features. Influence company-wide adoption of best practices for AI architecture and development. Create and maintain APIs and data pipelines that serve as the backbone of Jane’s AI capabilities. Bring curiosity, leadership, and problem-solving skills to navigate ambiguous and rapidly evolving technical spaces. Inspire and mentor other developers through collaboration, storytelling, and leading by example.
