Data Engineer

Work history at startups; collaborate deeply, self-sufficient, get a lot done History of applying software engineering best practices to data wrangling and pipeline creation Cloud proficiency, ideally on GCP, especially as applied to compute/data architecture and security Amazing SQL and Python skills, for ETL and front-end reporting Experience with workflow tools like Airflow Experience with transformation tools like dbt Ability, and a strategy, to manage data quality Bachelor’s degree or similar experience strongly preferred

Manage data operations ranging from streaming inputs to batch file loads Manage the reporting schema in partnership with other engineers Wrangle data into and through the reporting pipeline and schema Procure and onboard external data from plan sponsors and public sources Untangle, normalize, synthesize data for joining and comparisons Design and run security aspects of reporting Work within data governance practices Handle adhoc reporting requests from stakeholders Support data analysts and other internal consumers of the data
