Certified Medical Coder (Primary Care) | Permanent WFH

Active AHIMA credential (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CCA) or AAPC credential (COC, CCS-P, CPC, or related) Minimum of 2 years’ recent hands-on coding experience In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, and relevant coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) Strong computer proficiency, including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Personal computer with Intel Core i5 or higher, or AMD Ryzen 5 or higher Wired internet connection with at least 50 Mbps download speed, plus a backup connection Quiet, well-lit space with minimal background noise

Review clinical documentation to assign and sequence ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes Analyze facility and provider records to ensure accurate APC and Evaluation & Management (E/M) coding Abstract clinical data and validate documentation adequacy Serve as a resource for providers and client staff regarding compliant coding practices Maintain strict HIPAA compliance Participate in team meetings, trainings, and continuing education sessions Ensure consistent coding accuracy at or above the 95% quality threshold
