Requirements:
Minimum Bachelor's degree in a content-related field. Teaching certification, K-12 classroom teaching experience, and/or college/university level teaching experience. Comfortable and skilled with technological learning systems. Understanding and practice of student-centered pedagogy. Experience working with high school-aged students. Expertise in advanced high school-level ELA or Humanities. Eagerness to discuss societal issues.
Responsibilities:
Co-teach ELA and Advisory periods. Lead classes when needed. Utilize instructional technologies like Brightspace, Nearpod, and Zoom. Prepare and internalize lesson plans. Host tutoring sessions and provide academic support. Foster a positive classroom culture. Attend meetings and collaborate with staff and instructors. Receive and implement feedback from instructional coaches.
