Engineering Lead [Remote]

8+ years of professional software engineering experience. 5+ years of engineering lead experience. 5+ years of professional experience with Node.js. Extensive experience with PostgreSQL. Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, Kubernetes (K8s), and Docker. Deep expertise in event-driven programming and microservices development. Experience with Temporal or pub/sub systems and message queues (Kafka, SQS, or similar). Strong understanding of security principles. Excellent communication and writing abilities.

Lead a team of backend engineers building mission-critical transaction processing services. Write robust, performant code on a daily basis. Engage in hands-on technical leadership including architectural design, code reviews, and complex problem-solving. Drive technical excellence and advocate for bank-grade security and performance standards. Collaborate cross-functionally with executive, engineering, compliance, and customer-facing teams. Develop and execute the Transactions team roadmap. Mentor and grow the engineering team. Scope, design, and deliver large-scale technical projects end-to-end. Champion engineering best practices like microservices, event-driven programming, and distributed systems.
