Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Corporate Secretary or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of South African corporate law and governance practices
  • Professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Secretary) preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and corporate management software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain corporate records, including board resolutions, meeting minutes, and statutory registers
  • Coordinate and support board meetings, committee meetings, and annual general meetings
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act requirements and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation
  • Manage corporate filing obligations with CIPC and other regulatory bodies
  • Draft, review, and file corporate documents, agreements, and legal correspondence
  • Maintain confidential executive calendars and coordinate high-level meetings and travel arrangements
  • Handle sensitive communications between executives, clients, and stakeholders
  • Assist with due diligence processes and corporate transactions as required
  • Support the preparation of reports, presentations, and executive briefing materials
  • Manage document retention policies and maintain organised corporate filing systems
  • Coordinate with external legal counsel and professional advisors when necessary
  • Provide administrative support to senior leadership team as required
