Senior Backend Engineer, ClarOps (Ingeniero/a Backend Senior, ClarOps) - Remote

5+ years of backend development experience Proficiency in Java (minimum version 8; ideally version 17) and Spring Boot 3 Experience with Hibernate/JPA, and relational/NoSQL databases Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven systems using Kafka Experience integrating with third-party providers via REST and SOAP APIs Proficiency in Docker, Git, Github, and CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with cloud platforms, preferably AWS Deep knowledge of software design principles and testing strategies Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban) Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to lead technical discussions across geographies

Lead backend design and implementation for high-impact internal systems and services Collaborate across the full product lifecycle—from ideation to deployment Mentor junior developers and uphold strong engineering standards Write scalable, testable code with unit and integration testing built in Maintain and evolve microservices within a modern architecture Participate in cross-team problem-solving and architectural discussions Produce clear documentation and conduct code reviews to ensure quality and consistency Integrate with internal and external systems via REST and SOAP APIs
