Requirements:
High School Diploma with a minimum of 15 additional years of related field service experience in a field service AND/OR commissioning environment with Power systems and associated control systems.
Minimum 3 years of field service and/or commissioning experience in a field service/ commissioning environment with Power systems and associated control systems
US Citizen with the ability to achieve security clearance for Department of Defense projects
Ability and willingness to travel 85% of the time on short notice
Must be physically fit to be able to board vessels offshore.
Must be able to pass a HUET and offshore survival course which includes activities in a swimming pool.
Responsibilities:
Perform installation and commissioning activities at customer site locations during ship construction.
Performs troubleshooting activities at site locations during scheduled Port visits or at sea to diagnose problems, determine appropriate resolution, and implements corrective actions.
Performs a wide range of engineering tasks to ensure the technical integrity and proper installation and commissioning of GEPC Power systems and associated control systems.
Provide support to engineering teams working on customer modernization projects.
Provide support the bidding process for the customer modernization projects.
Provide on call support in response to customer calls for service
Complete timely service reports and other administrative requirements
Perform work on-board vessels within GE / Customer safety guidelines either in shipyards or offshore.
