Requirements:
Proven experience in developing and maintaining APIs, including RESTful services. Strong ability to define API specifications using OpenAPI. Expertise in API security, including OAuth 2.0, JWTs, and access control mechanisms. Hands-on experience in at least one programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go, or Java). Experience developing and deploying containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams. Knowledge of API management platforms. Strong understanding of cloud-based API deployment and infrastructure management. Experience with automated testing frameworks for API validation.
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain high-quality API services, primarily HTTP REST-based. Define API specifications using OpenAPI. Develop APIs to meet non-functional requirements. Integrate APIs with various software components. Implement secure authentication methods (OAuth 2.0, JWTs). Work within an Agile delivery methodology. Write and maintain automated unit tests. Develop and manage containerised solutions using Docker and Kubernetes. Work with API management platforms. Monitor API performance and optimise. Support API troubleshooting and debugging. Stay up-to-date with industry trends.
