Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, PR, and/or social media
  • Strong understanding of the tech industry media landscape
  • Proven track record of success in executing effective communications strategies
  • Excellent verbal communication, writing, and editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with fine-tuned interpersonal skills
  • Passion for storytelling, compelling narrative creation, and a commitment to excellence
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to generate positive media coverage and secure interviews and feature stories
  • Oversee the company's social media presence, including developing and implementing content strategies, managing community engagement, and monitoring analytics
  • Work collaboratively with with Customer Success and Support teams to escalate, research and resolve customer review site queries that affect Cloudways’ reputation
  • Develop crisis communication plans and lead the organization's response during reputational crises or emergencies, providing timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the writing and editing of press releases, blog posts, interview responses, and other communications materials when it’s required
  • Monitor media coverage to evaluate the effectiveness of public relations campaigns and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, customer success, executive leadership, etc,) to ensure consistent messaging is adopted across all communication channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, current events, and emerging issues that may impact the organization's reputation and recommend proactive strategies to address these
  • Mentor and coach members of the team to support learning and skills development
