Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in emergency management, public safety, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience and knowledge of FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) public assistance.
  • 3-5+ years' intermediate to advanced-level knowledge/experience in various emergency management functions including but not limited to: Recovery, Debris Management, Response & Logistics, Engineering & Environmental, Planning & Mitigation, Preparedness & Risk Reduction
  • 3-5+ years customer service experience
  • 3+ years knowledge and/or exposure in one or more Emergency Management Disciplines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel.
Responsibilities:
  • Support operation functions within your primary focus area of emergency management, which may include leading portions of project tasks.
  • Provide direct client support and deliverables with supervision as appropriate.
  • Develop a client relations skillset utilizing your knowledge of principals of the emergency management framework.
  • Provide support for specific portions of projects, helping to ensure all aspects are completed as outlined according to the timeline as assigned.
  • Lead portions of smaller projects and assist on larger project tasks, while developing delegation skills and participating in client engagement opportunities.
  • Attend and participate in all individual and group assigned and scheduled meetings and events.
  • Expand upon knowledge of company services and contracts.
  • Use knowledge and best practices to consult on decisions of portions of project tasks and individual work assigned.
  • Develop currency of and compliance with applicable state and federal policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
  • During a disaster, you may be called into the field to support relief efforts or assist with organizing responses to support advanced roles in emergency situations and/or activations.
