Requirements:
  • 6+ years of software development experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership role as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or equivalent role.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Javascript, Typescript, or Go. Experience with React.js and Node.js will go a long way in this role.
  • Solid understanding of full-stack architecture, performance optimization, and scalability principles within an Enterprise-class software system.
  • Able to make effective trade-offs in regards to both engineering and product requirements, while balancing short term and long term needs.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, with experience in metrics-driven decision making and A/B testing.
  • Experience developing cross-disciplinary collaboration between engineering, operations, support, and product groups.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience managing, coaching, and mentoring software engineers
  • Experience with staffing, interviewing, building, and retaining teams
  • Experience conveying complex ideas in written, verbal and presentational formats to get buy ins from diverse stakeholders
  • Experience leading a Growth Engineering team is a huge plus, including running rapid experiments and building tailored customer-centric UX.
  • Experience building technical solutions across multiple product areas, navigating across organizations and product teams is a big plus.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of UI and full-stack engineers, fostering growth and technical excellence.
  • Oversee the technical roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and engineering standards.
  • Be hands-on and provide input to architecture, design, and optimization of scalable full-stack software solutions; from small-scale feature experiments to full-fledged features spanning across our entire product surface area.
  • Collaborate across the organization and consistently interface with product and product engineering teams across the company.
  • Develop and refine processes and tools to improve team performance, quality-of-life, as well as product performance and quality.
  • Career coaching including performance assessment, and career development.
