Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in payroll processing and HR administration.
- Proficiency in Rippling (HRIS) or similar payroll/HR platforms.
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws and workers’ compensation.
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and meet payroll deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Process bi-monthly payroll accurately and timely using Rippling.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
- Manage payroll deductions, garnishments, and benefits contributions.
- Address payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly.
- Assist with workers’ compensation claims, reporting, audits, and other admin tasks.
- Ensure proper classification of employees for workers’ comp.
- Handle state tax registrations, filings, and compliance across multiple states.
- Maintain employee records and documentation within Rippling.
- Assist in onboarding/offboarding processes.
- Support HR compliance, including employee handbook updates and labor law postings.
- Generate reports and track HR/payroll metrics as needed.
