- B.S. degree in Computer Science or similar.
- 2+ years of sales engineering management experience.
- Experience with Software Product sales, Infrastructure, or SaaS.
- Knowledge in IoT, Networking/Security, SaaS, Cloud Technologies, or Physical Security.
- Strong technical and business acumen.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders across the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent presentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Ability to travel as needed.
- Hire, develop and lead an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing Sales Engineering team.
- Manage individual and team performance ensuring productive partnerships with sales, product, support, and customer success teams.
- Collaborate with Account Executives and Inside Sales Managers on account planning and strategy.
- Handle escalations in a pre-sales environment.
- Act as a trusted advisor in customer/prospect calls.
- Work with other Sales Engineering leaders to enhance the Sales Engineering organization.
- Champion and embed Samsara’s cultural principles.
