IDMS DBA

Extensive knowledge of IDMS deployment and operations on a z/OS environment. Expertise in IDMS SQL option and capability to support relational databases. Knowledge of IDMS security, including application structures and database objects. Understanding of programming for IDMS databases using COBOL and ADS/O. Familiarity with IBM High Level Assembler on z/OS. Experience with IDMS Perfmon monitoring. Project planning and estimation experience. Strong written and oral communication skills.

Hands-on IDMS monitoring and application support following best practices. Collaborate with database administration to maintain databases and develop management procedures. Tune IDMS features for optimal performance and generate performance data for analysis. Coordinate with vendors and entities for system and service integrations. Advise project teams on data model changes and extensions. Participate in 24x7 on-call support and perform other assigned duties.
