Requirements:

• 8+ years experience in security engineering and people management.
• Extensive leadership experience in leading, mentoring, and inspiring security engineering teams.
• Deep technical expertise in security architectures and cloud infrastructure (AWS).
• Proficiency in risk management, threat modeling, and incident response planning.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as GDPR, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or NIST.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts.
• Track record of implementing innovative security solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Security Engineering team, providing mentorship, direction, and fostering a collaborative environment to drive performance and growth.
• Design and implement robust security architectures, processes, and tools to protect Life360’s systems, applications, and data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and IT, to integrate security best practices into development lifecycles and operational workflows.
• Develop and execute security strategies and roadmaps aligned with business goals and evolving threats.
• Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, conducting risk assessments, and managing incident response plans to address security events.
