Requirements:

• 4-8 years of underwriting experience specifically in management or professional liability insurance.
• A network of brokers, carriers, underwriters, or clients in the relevant insurance space.
• Expertise in specialty liability products, including rating procedures and policy forms.
• Ability to develop long-term partnerships with brokers.
• Confidence in presenting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success in sales and account management.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding performance targets.
• Enthusiasm for working in a high-energy environment.
• Flexibility to travel at least once a month.
• College degree with relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:

• Achieve and exceed underwriting performance and revenue goals according to stated procedures.
• Price accounts quickly and thoughtfully in line with guidelines.
• Manage quote-related communication and inquiries effectively.
• Collaborate with the Risk Engineers to understand complex account exposures.
• Provide market feedback to enhance terms, rates, and policy coverages.
• Bind accounts via ongoing engagement with assigned brokers.
• Represent Counterpart at broker meetings and industry events.
• Contribute ideas for tools and services as a stakeholder in product development.
