Requirements:
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in engineering, data science, computer science, or information systems.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience with SaaS applications.
  • Proficiency with Ruby on Rails and React is required; experience with Backbone.js, coffeescript/handlebars, webpack, Rspec, and Terraform is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Git source control practices such as versioning/branching and rebasing.
  • Experience with AWS systems including RDS, EC2, S3, Security Groups, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience working in an Agile SCRUM model.
  • Proficiency with code coverage and unit testing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with ticket tracking tools, such as JIRA.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, secure sessions, and identity management providers (OAuth, SAML).
  • Advanced experience with database queries, SQL, optimization and tuning (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.).
  • Knowledge of caching systems such as Redis, Memcache, and Elasticache.
Responsibilities:
  • Build subject matter expertise on your team’s code base and platform.
  • Write clean, production-ready code that is easily understood and well tested.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to production issues.
  • Communicate well with teammates and show up when expected.
  • Write secure code and avoid introducing vulnerabilities.

  • Surface technical challenges that may inhibit deliveries.
