Requirements:

• Passionate team leader with strong backend development experience.
• 3+ years of experience leading a high-performing team.
• 5+ years in backend engineering, ideally with Kotlin, Java, or Python.
• 2+ years experience with managed cloud services, preferably AWS.
• Ability to build scalable backend systems and APIs.
• Strong communication and moderating skills.
• Empathy and the ability to provide direct feedback.

Responsibilities:

• Be the advocate and voice of the backend team at komoot.
• Build and develop your team: Recruit, onboard, and mentor backend engineers.
• Monitor teammates' performance and coach them on professional and personal development.
• Foster collaboration and establish best practices for team processes.
• Set goals for team development and technical innovation.
• Help the team build a modern tech stack.
• Keep an overview of modern backend technologies and manage technical projects.
• Collaborate with various teams, including analytics and data science.
