Requirements:

• 8+ years of work experience building and deploying machine learning systems into production.
• 2+ years of experience mentoring and managing machine learning teams.
• Proven track record in building fraud detection or risk assessment tools.
• Solid understanding of fundamental computer science concepts and software design best practices.
• Expertise in Python/R and SQL; experience with TypeScript/JavaScript is a plus.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on developing top machine learning talent.
• Excellent stakeholder management with experience in cross-functional collaboration.
• Empathy and humility.

Responsibilities:

• Own the implementation of technologies and strategies to prevent and detect claim fraud and abuse.
• Lead a team of machine learning data scientists to develop robust and intuitive models for identifying fraud.
• Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams for optimizing fraud detection models.
• Cultivate collaboration and learning within teams.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure technical excellence.
• Hire, mentor and coach junior data scientists.
• Optimize and deploy machine learning models throughout their development phases.
