Bachelor's or master's Degree, preferably in Japanese, linguistics, and language study majors and/or Entertainment and Media. Minimum of 2 years of subtitle QC experience required. Knowledge of professional scripting and subtitling software is highly desirable. Deep sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Punctuality, dependability, and adaptability to last-minute changes. Attention to detail and accuracy. Positive attitude and enthusiasm to overcome obstacles. Ability to follow technical/style guide for various client content types.

Proofread and finalize content translated from English into Japanese subtitle files, ensuring high technical and linguistic quality standards using certain subtitling software. Review and amend subtitles for consistency across products while adhering to client style guidelines. Ensure translations are accurate and culturally sensitive to resonate with target audiences. Occasionally perform translation from English to Japanese. Meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive content. Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by managers.
