Requirements:

• Bachelor's or master's Degree, preferably in Japanese, linguistics, and language study majors and/or Entertainment and Media.
• Minimum of 2 years of subtitle QC experience required.
• Knowledge of professional scripting and subtitling software is highly desirable.
• Deep sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Punctuality, dependability, and adaptability to last-minute changes.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm to overcome obstacles.
• Ability to follow technical/style guide for various client content types.

Responsibilities:

• Proofread and finalize content translated from English into Japanese subtitle files, ensuring high technical and linguistic quality standards using certain subtitling software.
• Review and amend subtitles for consistency across products while adhering to client style guidelines.
• Ensure translations are accurate and culturally sensitive to resonate with target audiences.
• Occasionally perform translation from English to Japanese.
• Meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive content.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by managers.
