Requirements

  • Licensed mental health professional preferred.
  • Experience with youth and young adults preferred.
  • Master’s degree in mental health or related field.
  • Experience and training in your experiential modality including, but not limited to: adventure, experiential, expressive therapy, creative therapy, recreation therapy, narrative therapy, play therapy, sociometry, or psychodrama.
  • Technical ability to run effective Telehealth sessions.
  • Reliable WiFi connection when meeting with clients.
  • Familiarity with and willingness to use cloud-based communication software—Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Dropbox— in addition to EMR and outcomes survey software on a daily basis.
  • Work authorized in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate weekly group therapy via Telehealth.
  • Develop creative ways to conduct experiential group treatment virtually.
  • Assist with the creation of experiential therapy curriculum by submitting weekly group session plans.
  • Contribute to treatment team, group supervision, and curriculum planning meetings.
  • Ensure your clinical services are delivered in accordance with recognized best practices.
  • Continuously further your knowledge of psychosocial functioning of groups.
  • Use thoughtful risk management.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, staff, families, agencies, and referents.
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner and be accurate and well-written.
  • Maintain and model professional ethics, including appropriate boundaries and confidentiality.
