You will join a company serving nearly 1,000,000 active developers, including those at Docker, Ramp, Peloton, and over half of the Fortune 500. Our platform lets you switch seamlessly between commands, AI agents, and code iteration. Last year, our revenue grew over 44x, showcasing rapid adoption and significant market impact. You will help us empower developers to ship better software faster.
How We Work
Warp embraces a flexible remote-first culture. You can work from anywhere with optional office spaces in New York City and San Francisco. Our team values honesty, humility, and pragmatism, focusing on a product-first approach. We are committed to understanding our users deeply, building an inclusive environment with diverse backgrounds. Our internal "How We Work" guide outlines our engineering culture and values, fostering collaboration and growth.
Engineering at Warp
Our core product, the Warp terminal, is built natively in Rust, ensuring high performance. We leverage GPU-accelerated rendering to deliver a superior user experience. You will work with AI agents and large language models (LLMs) to define the future of coding. Analytics Engineers utilize SQL and dbt on modern warehouses like BigQuery. Production-grade Python experience is valued, along with familiarity with the GCP data stack. Software Engineers building native apps in Rust or WASM, shell programming, or server-side programming in Go will thrive here. We continuously integrate cutting-edge AI technologies into our platform.

Twice-a-year company retreats (twice a year, in person, team building event that will be planned for you and your team to participate in, all expenses paid by the company, to meet and work alongside your remote teammates). While you will be required to travel for this event, all other travel is optional, and your choice to participate in (team on-sites, tech conferences, etc). Company will also expense all flights, trains and ride shares to/from your house to the airport/train station and to/from the airport/train station and hotel/Airbnb for each trip. We plan each trip with health and safety as the top priority. Your physical, social, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being are of the utmost importance to us. Your trip will be optimized for you to bond with your colleagues and build rapport, as opposed to working long hours at an off-site office. Once at the off-site, expect that you will be given ample time to sight-see and enjoy your surroundings, eat delicious food, and enjoy each other’s company without the distractions of your everyday life. This means that we do not host back-to-back meetings, and ensure that your schedule is free and flexible to get your work done at the time and pace that is best for you. Please note, Warp does not have any full time physical office space so it will be a fully remote work week when you are not at an off-site, and there is no expectation to come into a physical office when you are not at an off-site, unless you desire to do so (in that case, we can provide you with office space at a WeWork, or other co-working space of your choice, free of charge to you). Your job will include the ability to occasionally travel, if needed, for team building offsite events, and some optional travel (if you choose) for tech conferences/events. As with all company travel, all expenses associated with such travel will be fully expensed by the company. When you are not at an off-site with your team, or at a conference, your job will be remote (work from home) with no expectation to ever come into a physical office. These offsites occur typically two times a year, for 3-5 days each. They will typically be in the continental United States, and you will be expected to travel for them, and stay in a hotel or Airbnb with your team, at the company's expense. When you travel to these events, the company will cover all expenses, including flight, transportation to/from the airport, and meals. Your travel will be smooth and seamless. We do our best to make it easy and efficient for you to travel. For team on-sites, our top priority is the health and safety of our employees. For this reason, we will continue to monitor COVID-19 trends and adapt our travel plans as necessary to protect the well-being of our team. Warp is committed to remaining a remote-first company with optional travel. So when you are not at an off-site with your team, or at a conference, your job will be remote with no expectation to ever come into a physical office (unless you choose to do so). We believe in building a strong culture, and that means bringing employees together regularly to connect and collaborate. That's why we plan two company-wide retreats each year. During these week-long events, our entire team gathers in exciting locations to brainstorm, bond, and celebrate our achievements. All travel and accommodation expenses are covered, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the experience. It's a fantastic opportunity to forge stronger relationships with colleagues, share ideas, and recharge your batteries. We also encourage local team gatherings and provide support for those who wish to meet up more frequently. While we value in-person connections, we also understand the importance of flexibility. Our remote-first approach means you have the autonomy to work from anywhere, creating a healthy work-life balance. We foster a culture of trust and transparency, where every voice is heard and valued. With a diverse team spanning across different time zones, we leverage asynchronous communication and collaboration tools to ensure seamless teamwork. We believe in empowering our employees to take ownership of their work and contribute to our shared success. Join us and experience a truly dynamic and inclusive work environment where your ideas are celebrated, and your growth is nurtured. We also offer a monthly gym and internet stipend to help you stay healthy and connected. Additionally, you'll receive a complimentary OneMedical membership for convenient access to healthcare services. We're committed to providing a comprehensive benefits package that supports your well-being and helps you thrive both personally and professionally. Monthly gym and internet stipend.
