  • B.S. in Mechanical or Structural Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure and willingness to sign and seal mechanical engineering drawings.
  • 10+ years of post-graduate work experience in the detailed design engineering of one of the following: industrial scale systems, large commercial systems, manufacturing plants, process plants, or modular industrial systems.
  • Experience in high-temperature process water, steam, and lubrication oil.
  • Experience creating piping systems and support designs, pipe stress analysis, and fluid flow analysis using hand calculations.
  • Expert knowledge and application ability of engineering standards applicable to product design including ASME, ANSI, API NACE, etc.
  • Able to productize the engineering of industrial systems.
  • Able to create scalable tools and methods for detailed engineering deliverable creation.

  • Create piping systems and support designs, pipe stress analysis, and fluid flow analysis.
  • Identify, document, and apply relevant national, state, and local codes applicable to product design.
  • Create internal tools and methodology to enable scalable delivery for the creation of detailed design engineering deliverables and calculations.
  • Perform all detailed design calculations related to non-electrical systems.
  • Develop tools to allow engineering calculations to scale with lower manpower over time.
  • Review component and material selections and drive final selections for the product platform.
  • Identify gaps in engineering specifications and propose new specifications or refinements to drive system standardization, reliability, and scalability.
  • Create documentation and standard operating procedures (SOP) for mechanical engineering.
  • Provide subject matter expert (SME) guidance on mechanical engineering topics, including piping, material science, mechanical components, stress analysis, corrosion, and thermoscience.
  • Validate conceptual product development designs, identifies issues, and advises augmentation.
  • Review all technical work created by specification engineers on non-electrical selections for technical accuracy.
  • Review all technical work and deliverables created by mechanical designers for technical accuracy.
  • Perform technical reviews on vendor documents and drawing submittals for accuracy and adherence to Skyven specifications.
  • Create lifecycle estimates on components and systems using analytical methods.
  • Sign and seal mechanical engineering drawings created by yourself or under your supervision.
  • Lead team in creation of formal design failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA) and mitigations, and hazard and operability (HAZOP) studies.

  • Run Skyven’s Accounting function in collaboration with our external service provider. Ensure accurate, timely and efficient business operations in accordance with company needs, internal controls and external requirements & regulations.
  • Build and improve Skyven’s financial capacity through adequate design and implementation of systems, policies and processes, particularly managing and expanding the use of the new accounting system.
  • Solve complex accounting issues related to Skyven’s Energy-as-a-Service model, project finance agreements, and special purpose entities.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial statements and other standard reports for internal and external purposes.
  • Oversee and support tax preparation for Skyven and its subsidiaries and manage tax assessments for projects across various jurisdictions.
  • Ensure Skyven’s audit readiness and manage corporate and grant-specific audits with external auditors.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including project development, legal, and engineering, as well as external partners and consultants, to ensure alignment and achieve financial objectives.
