Requirements
- Have 5+ years of experience in web development, solving challenging problems and implementing new features from scratch.
- Have 3+ years of experience with SQL, including relational database schema design and complex queries.
- Provide examples of full-stack projects, including at least one demonstrable project with front-end code, back-end code, and a database.
- Be able to design, develop, and launch a web application from start to finish.
- Understand web development concepts and principles.
- Be familiar with web and SQL security best practices.
- Be comfortable working outside the context of a framework.
- Have experience using Git in a team environment.
- Be able to learn quickly and acquire new skills independently.
- Startup work or internship experience and experience with the LAMP/LEMP stack are helpful but not required.
Responsibilities
- Develop and own features end to end, taking them through production and beyond.
- Write clean, secure, readable, scalable code and develop best practices.
- Integrate with and build internal and external APIs.
- Develop new products in PHP and adapt existing PHP code for scale and integration with technologies and APIs.
- Write and optimize SQL queries and design database schemas.
- Create and code complex backend algorithms.
- Profile and optimize new and legacy code.
- Use CSS and JavaScript to implement product functionality with Bootstrap 3, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and other open-source technologies.
- Build with mobile, tablet, and desktop devices in mind.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members, and mentor junior developers.
