Requirements
- Have 4+ years of experience in information security, incident response, digital forensics, or security operations, with progressive leadership responsibility.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.
- Have experience analyzing logs and alerts from diverse sources to identify malicious activity.
- Have experience in incident response, digital forensics, and/or security operations.
- Be skilled in examining Windows, Linux, and macOS hosts for indicators of compromise, including forensic acquisition and endpoint data analysis.
- Work effectively with cross-functional business and technical stakeholders.
- Have experience creating, maintaining, and delivering security training and awareness material.
- Communicate effectively with senior stakeholders and audiences with varying backgrounds and domain knowledge.
- Security or IT audit certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CompTIA Network+, GSEC, or CEH are beneficial.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for security-task automation is beneficial.
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is beneficial.
- Exposure to simulated real-world cyberattacks or Red Team exercises is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Conduct threat hunting to identify malicious activity and mitigate risks before incidents occur.
- Analyze logs and alerts from endpoints, cloud resources, email, internet traffic, and other sources.
- Assess threat feeds and evaluate emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and organizational risk.
- Lead major incident response operations and technical forensic investigations.
- Direct root cause analysis, containment, and remediation strategies for complex incidents.
- Mentor and guide mid-level and junior Security Analysts on detection, response, and security practices.
- Document procedures, response plans, and playbooks and share procedural information with the Information Security Team.
- Prepare and deliver security awareness training for staff with varying backgrounds.
- Advise internal teams on technical and forensic matters.
- Support client assurance and provide evidence of security controls to external auditors.
