Have 6+ years of product design experience.
Have 2+ years managing or formally mentoring designers.
Show a strong track record designing data, analytics, or intelligence products, such as dashboards, reporting, insights, or AI-generated summaries.
Be prepared to remain hands-on in design for approximately 75% of the role.
Have built design foundations from scratch, such as principles, a design system, design operations, or critique culture.
Have hands-on experience with AI tools and a considered view of how they support design work.
Be comfortable leading through ambiguity with minimal infrastructure and incomplete information.
Preferred: experience at a startup to scale-up company of 50–200 people.
Preferred: first design leader or founding designer experience.
Preferred: experience designing AI features and trust and explainability patterns.

Carry hands-on design work across product pods as a shared senior design resource.
Set the standard for data, analytics, and AI-generated intelligence in reports, dashboards, and insights.
Manage, coach, and develop the Product Designer.
Partner with product managers on product strategy, roadmaps, customer problems, and product experiences.
Lead customer research and discovery, including interviews, the customer advisory board, and feedback synthesis.
Build relationships with product pods and agency teams.
Establish design principles, critique practices, quality standards, career ladders, and job descriptions.
Develop and iterate on the design system and design operations.
Define and implement an AI-native design practice and lead design's AI transformation.
Educate the team and leadership on design and AI trends.
