Requirements
- Have at least 10 years of hands-on software development experience with multiple general-purpose programming languages.
- Demonstrate experience architecting scalable and secure systems and a strong commitment to quality.
- Have extensive experience designing and implementing APIs for system integration and automated consumers such as AI agents.
- Drive technical alignment and follow through on critical technical decisions in fast-paced environments.
- Have led a team through a major workflow or tooling shift, using judgment about safe automation and required human sign-off.
- Own features end-to-end, from problem definition through shipping and maintenance.
- Work closely with product managers and business stakeholders and communicate technical implications of their requirements.
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills in English; German proficiency is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Own technical direction across the Virtual Assembly Line growth and operations engineering domain.
- Keep architecture aligned with product direction and ensure consistent execution of technical decisions.
- Step into the hardest technical problems and set the technical bar for the teams.
- Translate business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Architect systems and APIs with machine-readable contracts for AI agents.
- Drive the team's shift to agentic engineering, enabling safe agent execution with human accountability.
- Mentor and challenge engineers to accelerate their growth.
- Build a high-performing engineering culture within the team.
- Embed security and reliability into the engineering work.
