Requirements
- Have previously held a Warranty Admin position at a franchised automotive dealer.
- Demonstrate experience managing automotive dealer warranty claims.
- Have a good working knowledge of DMS software.
- Know automotive dealership service departments.
- Know warranty accounting processes.
- Be proficient at reading technician stories and applying appropriate labor codes.
- Be certified or trained by at least one manufacturer.
- Be able to motivate others, particularly dealership personnel.
- Demonstrate customer service through accurate claims processing.
Responsibilities
- Review claims for manufacturer compliance with policy and procedures.
- Use the proprietary CARS application to help resolve dealer compliance issues.
- Book claims.
- Close claims.
- Submit claims for payment.
- Account for and clear payment differences.
- Maintain clean warranty receivable schedules regularly to support dealer cash flow.
- Maintain appropriate certifications and knowledge of updated policies and procedures.
- Help dealerships stay compliant with manufacturer policy.
